NewTech is noted for quality training, excellent customer service, and a very skilled consulting staff. We developed our notorious reputation for quality developer training when we rolled out the VB BOOTCAMP in 1994. Since that time we have trained 50,000 software developers a variety of Microsoft platforms and tools.

May 14, 1993
Visual Basic 3.0 Standard and Professional Editions Are Available.
September 1993
New Technology Solutions is born as a ‘Doing Business As” (DBA) company in the 10 X 12 basement-level home office of the founder.
October 1993
NewTech gets first consulting engagement, working for the New Haven Regional Water Authority
December 1993
NewTech places additional consultants at Dun and Bradstreet in New York and AT&T in Princeton NJ.
February 1994
New Technology Solutions incorporates in Delaware.
March 1994
NewTech forms the Connecticut Visual Basic Special Interest Group, a user group dedicated to Visual Basic. The first meeting is held in the Hartford Marriott and draws over 300 people. Carl Franklin, VB guru, is in attendance.
April 1994
NewTech runs first VB BOOTCAMP in North Haven CT, teaching VB3 in one day, enrolling 22 developers.
May 1994
NewTech runs VB BOOTCAMP seminars in nearby New York City. 40 developers attend.
June 1994
NewTech runs VB BOOTCAMP seminars in Chicago, teaching over 100 developers VB in three sold-out training sessions.
July 1994
NewTech leases office space in North Haven CT, hires additional trainers, and rolls out the VB BOOTCAMP to 8 cities nationwide on a recurring schedule.
August
Microsoft selects NewTech to host Microsoft Developer Days, a developer-training event sponsored by Microsoft and held in Hartford and seven other cities all on the same day.
January 1995
NewTech founder Dan Mezick applies for patent, “Property setting manager for objects and controls of a graphical user interface software development system”, an improvement for visual tools such as Visual Basic.
February 1995
NewTech hosts Microsoft Developer Days in Hartford, CT. Over 400 developers attend, making it the biggest developer event ever in Hartford. Seven other cities attract over 5000 developers.
September 12, 1995
Three Versions of Visual Basic 4.0 Will Be Available.
January 1996
NewTech President Dan Mezick presents database development topics at VBITS, the premier developer-training event sponsored by Fawcette Technical Publications.
April 1996
NewTech reaches the milestone of over 20,000 developers trained in Visual Basic through the VB BOOTCAMP seminar nationwide.

NewTech president Dan Mezick is quoted as a national VB authority and expert in COMPUTERWORLD, a national IT publication. Over the next two years, he is quoted in this magazine over 14 times in various articles related to Visual Basic and Microsoft.

Visual Basic 5.0, Control Creation Edition Is Available.
Spring 1997
Microsoft ships Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0. Corporations hesitant to move to 32-bit Windows adopt the new release slowly.
Summer 1997
Aetna chooses NewTech to deliver Visual Basic training to substantially all Aetna software developers developing Windows applications. NewTech delivers dozens of VB BOOTCAMP training sessions for Aetna in Hartford.
January 1998
NewTech moves to spacious offices with training center in new class-A office space located in North Haven CT. The company moves towards a business model based on staff augmentation and consulting.
June 15, 1998
Visual Basic 6.0 Is Announced.
September 1998
NewTech opens a new office in Waltham MA.
September 2, 1998
Visual Basic 6.0 for Windows 95 and Windows NT Is Available.
December 1998
NewTech revenues are over 155% over the previous year.
February 16, 1999
NewTech founder Dan Mezick awarded patent #5,872,974, “Property setting manager for objects and controls of a graphical user interface software development system”, after waiting over 4 years from the date of application.
March 1999
NewTech grows to 30 employees across two states, CT and MA. The consulting operation thrives as NewTech deploys consultants across two states, focusing on quality of service and reliability to get and keep customers.
December 1999
NewTech revenues climb to 170% of prior year for 2nd consecutive year in a row.
December 2000
NewTech revenue growth exceeds 169% of year-ago comparable figures for the 3rd consecutive year in a row.
February 2001
NewTech opens Providence Rhode Island training center and office in the heart of the Financial District.
