Strong programming passion and/or CS degree (or related degree) required. Must demonstrate a true talent for programming. After training, each trainee becomes a Systems Engineer.
Systems Engineer
Knowledge of all of our tools (VB, ASP, Java, ADO, COM, XML, SQL) is required. Must be presentable in appearance, professional in work habits, excellent in programming. This is a consulting position where you work on teams at the client site, and may work alone or independently. Requires 1-2 years programming experience and strong competence in our development toolsets.
Senior Systems Engineer
An elite position at NewTech. Purely technical, you must be truly expert in at least two technologies such as XML and VB. Sr. Systems Engineer is a technical lead that can be counted on to answer complex technical questions from peers and clients. May lead a development team but MUST be capable of working in a lead-developer role on a team. This position is pure programming. A total all-consuming interest and passion for software development is assumed.
Systems Architect/ Senior Systems Architect
Expert in use case analysis, use case design and 3-tier architecture, this position requires excellent oral and written communications skills. The primary work of the Senior Systems Architect is to bridge the world of technology and business. This is done through the creation of systems architecture documents, deliverable to clients and development teams. The Senior Systems Architect can and will deliver formal developer classroom training as a NewTech instructor. The Systems Architects work closely with Senior Systems Engineers to make sure designs are technically sound and estimates of effort are accurate.
Practice Manager
Expert in implementation consulting, customer service and project leadership, the Practice Manager position is a management position. Practice Managers are the link between NewTech and the customer. Practice Managers function as account managers in the client account. They run projects and development teams communicate clearly to clients and function as the first level of problem resolution at the client site. Practice Managers are programmers navigating their careers deliberately towards management opportunities. . The Practice Manager can and will deliver formal developer classroom training as a NewTech instructor.
Manager, Business Development
This role is non-technical, customer-focused, and requires a well-developed set of soft skills. The primary responsibilities of the Business Development Manager at NewTech are to develop, maintain and cultivate a strong relationship with new and existing clients. This is done by delivering service and solutions to customers EVERY DAY that are superior when compared to available alternatives. Business Development managers must be capable of forging strong relationships with clients, professional staff, and NewTech executive management. The ideal candidate has strong experience delivering technical services to a technologically sophisticated Fortune 500 client base. A really good golf swing is a plus.
Director, Technical Services
This is a pure leadership position. Directors are responsible for the performance of a business unit—typically a single NewTech location. The position requires strong expertise in programming, consulting, technical training, project leadership, and management. Strong experience is a requirement of the job. Directors are responsible for all aspects of running an office: hiring, firing, business development, delivery of training, development of people, customer service, problem resolution, and sales volume. Directors exercise authority that is wide in scope, in pursuit of current business objectives.
