Come and share what you know about
Agile coaching
This is a monthly gathering of Agile Coaches
in Boston. Come on down and learn and teach Agile Coaching.
If you are in an organization that is considering
bringing in a coach, you are welcome to attend.
This meeting features presentations that are
for-coaches-by-coaches, in Pecha Kucha format.
Pecha Kucha talks are very structured, very
short, very focused talks with slides....20 slides,
20 seconds
per slide.
The
total time is 6 and 2/3 minutes.

If you are an Agile Coach, this is your meeting.
Only coaches and managers involved with coaching in some way
are expected to attend. (If you are not sure you match the intent
of this
ground

You DO NOT have to present something to attend.
You can just show up and that is OK
Come and share what you know about
Agile coaching and also learn from
other
coaches
in
the
region.
The
format is
simple: presenters
deliver a short, 7-minute session in the Pecha Kucha format.
This is a talk with 20 slides that are 20 seconds each. Presenters
deliver a very short, rich, focused and COMPACT presentation
on a specific, focused Agile Coaching topic.

You can expect to learn a ton at this
monthly event. Come and grab some food,
sit down and enjoy the presentations. We are actively expecting
you to show up with YOUR expertise,
ready to deliver in this format. Deliver 1 or 2 sessions yourself,
(or not) then sit back and enjoy the show !
We provide the popcorn.
We encourage you to present your best stuff
from your Agile coaching experiences: as an in-house coach, or
as a professional external coach consulting to organizations,
or
as
a project sponsor
or authorized manager who employs coaches in and around Boston.

Specifications:
1. Name your presentation
2. Show up with your slides in a PDF on a
USB, bring 2 with 1 as a backup. A PC is provided. Also someone
to turn your pages every 20 seconds serves you as you present.
Be ready.
That's it. Have your PDF slides ready
.... bring them with you, and deliver.
Each presenter has about 7 minutes to deliver
20 slides, with each slide lasting just 20 seconds during the
presentation. You can submit two.
After each session we do some Q&A
Of particular interest is a dicussion focused
on service to the client, and what that actually means.

Q. Can I attend without presenting?
Yes. Absolutely.
Q. Can we ask questions during the sessions?
No, we plan to run through all the sessions
and then have a full-group discussion on what just happened.
Q. When do we discuss the presentations?
After they are done, we discuss the learning,
engaging in inquiry and dialogue for about 45-minutes to 1 hour
.... we may divide into small groups during this meeting, depending...
Q. Why PDF format?
This is what the PC is set up for. Bring your
session on 2 USB memory devices. (1 for backup). Someone else
serves you by turning your pages every 20 seconds as you talk.
Q. Am I strongly encouraged to present something
as a Agile coach?
Yes you are. However, showing up to dialogue
and learn is A-OK.
Q. Can I just show up and observe if I am
a Agile Coach?
Yes you can
Why not MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN by sharing
what you know. You are an
Agile
coach,
or a manager
who
has experience engaging coaches, or an in-house Agile coach,
or a Scrum Master functioning like a Coach in some respects.

This is not a general meeting of Agile Boston
however. This MONTHLY MEETING (usually the 4th Tuesday evening
of the month) is for coaches and organizations seeking coaches...
and knowledge of
coaching.
