Course Overview: Designed for the widest possible audience, this 2-day course is appropriate for anyone familiar with software development on any platform. Cost/benefit and risk/reward ratios related to choosing OOP are described clearly and in business terms. The focus of this course is on the very sound business case for OOP. Both managers and developers gain the orientation needed to move to more specific OOP development courses. The business advantage of OOP development are emphasized and OOP development advantages in business terms is the theme of this course.

Planners and managers can choose this course only as an excellent orientation and indoctrination into the OOP development methodology. Taught by practicing engineers who develop OOP business applications professionally, this course is very much a 'boot camp' for those seeking a thorough and EFFECTIVE orientation. Unlike many courses that teach OOP from an academic, highly theoretical point of view, this course advances OOP concepts clearly and presents the OOP business advantages in 'plain English'. Demos are presented in Java with about 20% VB6.

The topic is best presented with a minimum 1-week gap in the presentation (days 1 and 2). The arguments for and advantages of the OOP approach are most convincing when allowed to 'percolate' in the mind of the student. We strongly urge a minimum 1-week gap in time between presentation days.
